The Particle Board Longspan Starter Bay is Step 1 of any modular longspan configuration. Unlike Add-on Bays (which share an upright frame and must attach to an existing run), a Starter Bay is completely freestanding. Featuring two heavy-duty welded end-frames, it provides the structural backbone needed to store heavy tools, equipment, archive cartons, and bulk inventory safely.

Complete 3-Shelf Tier Configuration

Each Starter Bay comes equipped with three complete shelf levels out of the box. Every level includes two precision step beams, safety locking pins, and a heavy-duty particle board insert. Shelf levels adjust up or down in 50 mm increments, allowing you to tailor spacing for tall cartons, tool chests, or compact parts tubs. Need higher picking density? Additional tier levels can be purchased separately at any time.

Flush Step Beams & High-Density Timber Decks

Our step beams feature a precision recessed inner ledge. When you lay down the included high-density particle board timber boards, they sit completely flush with the top of the steel beam. This creates a smooth, flat surface that allows you to slide cardboard boxes and heavy tubs on and off without catching on raw timber or steel edges.

• Pre-Assembled Welded Frames: High-grade structural steel uprights, powder-coated in gunmetal grey for maximum scratch and corrosion resistance in industrial environments.
• Safety Beam Locking Pins: Every beam includes heavy-duty steel safety pins that prevent accidental dislodgement from upward forklift bumps or hand-loading impacts.
• Easy Modular Growth: Need to extend your storage run down the track? Simply attach one or more Particle Board Add-on Bays to this Starter Bay to double or triple your storage footprint.
