Delivery, Freight Quotes & Click & Collect Policy

1. Standard Delivery Zones & Rates

Local Regional Delivery: Fixed-rate delivery applies strictly to designated postcodes within Greater Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula, and the Surf Coast (Zones 1 to 3) as determined at checkout.

Click & Collect (Warehouse Pickup): Free click-and-collect is available for all orders from our North Geelong warehouse. Customers selecting this method will be notified when goods are picked, packed, and ready for collection.

2. Outside Standard Delivery Area (Custom Freight Quotes)

Due to the bulk, weight, and specialised transport requirements of industrial racking, longspan shelving, and storage equipment, delivery to postcodes outside our standard delivery zones requires manual freight calculation.

Submission as a Quote Request: Orders placed with the shipping option “Custom Freight Quote Required” constitute a non-binding request for quote (RFQ) and do not represent a finalised contract of sale.

No Initial Charge: No payment is processed at the time of quote submission.

Freight Assessment: Upon receipt of your request, Direct Storage Systems will source carrier rates based on total order cubic volume, weight, equipment access requirements (e.g., tailgate loader or forklift offload), and destination address.

Order Finalisation & Payment:

We will issue an updated tax invoice via email including the freight charges and a secure online payment link.

Goods will not be reserved indefinitely, scheduled for dispatch, or manufactured until payment of the finalised invoice is received in full.

Cancellation of Quote: If you choose not to proceed with the provided freight quote, you may cancel the request without penalty or elect to convert your order to Click and Collect (Warehouse Pickup).

3. Delivery Site Access & Offloading

Delivery is curb-side or to a standard commercial loading bay unless explicitly quoted and agreed otherwise in writing.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure adequate site access for heavy transport vehicles and that suitable offloading equipment (such as a forklift) or personnel are available where tailgate delivery has not been pre-booked.
